 COSTA BLANCA NORTH

The Costa Blanca North, located in the north of the province of Alicante, is the denomination of the area that includes the municipalities of Denia, Jávea, Benissa, Teulada-Moraira, Calpe and Altea.

A “region in the region” that receives thousands and thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. Every day is getting higer the number of these visitors who, in love with its sea, its valleys and, above all, its climate, choose the Costa Blanca North as the place to set up their first or second residence.

THE CLIMATE

The climate is “mild” with an average of 20.5 degrees and 300 days a year of sunshine.

The municipalities

 

Denia, located at the foot of the Montgó, with its famous castle, its famous street Marqués de Campo to enjoy its many shops and that street so endearing,  the Carrer de Loreto, the ideal place for eating “tapas”. Without forgetting its tourist port and its 20 km. of beaches.

 

 

Jávea or Xabia for the Valencians. On the opposite side of the Montgó, with its capes like San Antonio from where you can enjoy unforgettable views of the sea. With its old port, the beaches that satisfy all lovers, whether it’s the sand or the rock and its old town. From the Arenal Beach you can enjoy all kind of water sports.

 

 

 

Benissa, famous for its beaches with crystal clear waters, either sand or rock, such as Cala de la Fustera, Cala dels Pinets or Del Advocat.

 

 

 

Moraira, an authentic jewel of the Marina Alta, either for its temperate climate all year round and its more than 300 sunny days. Or for its great beaches such as Playa de la Ampolla or the famous El Portet beach. With its restaurants for all tastes, its shops and its typical streets.

 

 

Calpe, with the authentic symbol of the Costa Blanca: the Peñón de Ifach. A town with two natural parks: Ifach, with its famous rock, and Las Salinas, famous for its ornithological fauna. With its 6 km. of beaches and cliffs and all that the “Benidorm of Marina Alta” offers.

 

 

Altea, a small jewel that starts from its tourist port, passing through its main street where you can do all kind of shopping, until you reach the top part of the wonderful old town from which you can enjoy the views of the wonderful multicolored coast.

Not only coast …

The Costa Blanca North also enjoys pleasant mountain areas such as El Montgó, with its 753 m high, to which many localities at its feet owe its so temperate climate. Or the Sierra de Bernia, 11 km of wonderful views that go from Cabo la Nao to Alicante and, in the days with smooth sky, to the island of Ibiza.
And let’s not forget the inland part of the region with valleys so visited as the Vall de Gallinera, the Vall de Alcalá, the Vall de Ebo and the Laguart, with their typical villages and their wonderful and tranquil landscapes.
